Tony's thoughts on Trio Challenge week
Season 11 is getting closer and closer to wrapping up! There’s a lot at stake this week with a Double Elimination! Let’s get into what I thought about this week!

CARRIE & DEREK
Argentine Tango – Okay, I know Derek’s become this master at choreographing the Argentine Tango, but I can’t quite put my finger on why I was imagining a dance I just wasn’t satisfied with. I guess I just can’t picture that much passion from Carrie, but it was a good attempt!
Paso Doble – Again, the Paso is another dance that Derek’s really quite good at choreographing, but the Paso was a dance that I was a bit worried about with Carrie. I don’t think she could have portrayed the correct aggressive character for the dance. I’m sure she’ll be safe, so maybe I’ll be more in her favor next week!

GERARD & NATALIE

Argentine Tango – Wowie! Gerard smoldered in this dance! I can just picture him lifting Natalie with ease! The Argentine Tango was a perfect dance for Gerard to really show his acting chops too, I think. I was waiting for Gerard to do the Argentine Tango, and I don’t think I would have been disappointed!
Paso Doble – Well I think Gerard is definitely showing that he deserves to make the finals after these two dances! I love this song, and I think Gerard really could have nailed this dance!

KIELY & HENRY

Argentine Tango – I think Kiely could have suffered from Carrie’s problem in this dance. I don’t  think I would have bought the passion of these two. I think Kiely could have pulled the dance off technically, but just not emotionally.
Samba – I think the best part about this dance would be how innovative it was. The song had a story, and I definitely saw that playing out. I think it might have been a bit more risky for a female
star to choose a female pro for the trio dance, but I think it worked! I think Kiely is definitely going to be safe!

JOSH & LACEY

Argentine Tango – After being in the bottom two, and I think now he’s at the bottom of the leaderboard, Josh is in some danger this week. But I did enjoy this Argentine Tango! I think he’s definitely come a long way from the beginning and this Tango could have been his best dance!
Rumba – I think the problems as to why I didn’t pick him to win his Rumba Duel back in Week 4 are still present. The guy is a good actor, but I just can’t find myself to believe it when it comes to the Rumba. I also fear that it might have been Lacey and Lindsay just dancing around Josh. Not his best, I’m afraid.

ALI & VAL

Argentine Tango – Well, the song isn’t my first choice for an Argentine Tango, but I think parts of it work for the dance. But I can’t see Ali being very confident when it comes to lifts and things of the like. I think she also would be soft in her movements, and this dance requires some sharp legwork.
Samba – I think the best part about this dance is how much fun I could picture Ali having! I know  she may not be the best dancer, but I feel that with this Samba, Ali really broke out of her shell and stepped up her dancing!

MARK & KYM
Argentine Tango – Well I don’t think Kym could have gone wrong with this dance. And really, who could picture Mark doing a bad Argentine Tango? I think this tied with Gerard for “Best Argentine Tango” of the night!
Samba – While I’m sure it was a good dance, there was just something I couldn’t buy about it.   Something I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Maybe I just don’t see Mark having great hips or something. Haha! But overall, he’s tied at the top of the leaderboard, and he’s definitely going to be back next week!

Also, don’t forget guys, I have a fantasy game as well! Follow me on Twitter @FDWTS if you can’t get enough of the DWTSGame!
