Tony's thoughts on the Semi-Finals
Wow!  What a Semi-Finals!  When Natalie told me she  was having a Contemporary round, I became more excited for this week more than  ever!  Time to give you what I thought  about this week!

MARK & KYM
Tango – I’m not  sure what it was about this Tango, but I was left wanting more from it.  I feel like Mark might have gotten into his  head this week and didn’t perform and shine as well as he could
have.  And I wouldn’t blame him for doing that  though!  This is a crucial  week!
Contemporary – Well you can never go wrong with an Adele song, in my book.  I think Kym could have highlighted Mark’s  physical strength with this contemporary and shown us some really impressive  lifts!  And I think he might have been a  little bit more at ease with this dance.  I hope he can make it to next week, because he deserves  it!

GERARD & NATALIE

Rumba – Oh wow.  I love Rumba’s like these: Sophisticated and sensual, but not overtly raunchy.
I think Gerard had the perfect balance of  performance and technique in this dance.  One of the best male rumba’s I’ve seen on the DWTSGame!
Contemporary – And here’s where things get tricky for Gerard.  As amazingly creative as Natalie is, I don’t think she’s had much  experience with dances outside of the Ballroom genre.  I can’t see this
contemporary being the best,  but it was definitely a good attempt by these two!

KIELY & HENRY

Tango – Okay, this was a super fast song when I first listened to it, but I had to remember how the live band plays with song tempos, so once I got past that, I could imagine this Tango being absolutely fantastic from Kiely!  The missing passion from last week was definitely there this
week!
Contemporary – I  think Kiely’s really honed her ability to act and dance at the same time, because the dance I’m imagining is so jam-packed of emotion! I love this song, and I think Henry could definitely choreograph a Contemporary routine worthy of the 30 that this dance  got!  A winner for me!

CARRIE & DEREK
Tango – I think I  got the same vibe from Carrie as I did from Mark.  Not one of the best Tangos I’ve seen, but  still a pretty darn decent one.  I think  Carrie’s forte are definitely the Ballroom dances, but, like last week, I just  wasn’t buying her emotion.
Contemporary – And now I have to eat those words because this contemporary blew me away! Derek is definitely one of the better choreographers on the show, and when it comes to dances like Contemporary, he leaves it all on the dance floor, and I think that’s what he managed to create with Carrie in this dance.

It’s definitely a tough race at this point, but I think Gerard and Mark are pretty much guarantees for the Finals.  It’s going to be up to the fan bases to see  which lady joins them!
