Gerard & Natalie: The dance starts with Gerard doing a little solo, playing into the title of their song. Gerard and Natalie want to tell a story that gives people a moral of "Be yourself" and of course "Dance like no one's watching."
Carrie & Derek: Carrie and Derek want to tell a story of teenage whimsy. They play two rebellious teenagers that don't play by the rules (and maybe some of the rules mentioned in the song). It's all about living in the moment for them!

Lane & Lindsay: Lane tells a more personal story with this dance. This was the song that was played at his mother's wedding. He and Lindsay want to pay homage to his mother with this dance.
Terry & Cheryl: Terry and Cheryl tell a story of a man and woman that meet in a bar after a long night of partying and dance together.
Nicole & Maks: Nicole portrays an independent woman who wants to get back at past lover who did her wrong. She leads him on by dancing with him, but ends up showing him that he needs her, not the other way around.
Sigourney & Tristan: Sigourney and Tristan tell a story of a mother who is grieving her lost son. However, the son (Tristan) comes to the mother (Sigourney) in a dream to let her know that he is her guardian angel, and that he's watching over her, and singing her a lullaby.
Kiely & Henry: Kiely and Henry's story is the age old story of "Anything you can do, I can do it better." Kiely challenges Henry to a "duel." The beginning shows Kiely and Henry showing off. Then they dance after showing they respect one another, but Kiely ends up victorious in the end.
Gugu & Mark: Gugu and Mark's story is another love story. They tell a story of two random people who meet for a reason, and fall in love at first sight. The lovers know they are unique and want each other to "shine bright."
Ali & Val: Ali and Val tell a story of a woman who wants to get away to find her true love. The woman (Ali) finds him (Val) and want to tell a story of how people shouldn't stop believing in love.
